Document Description
This project is in Kern County, on SR-5 at post miles 40.0/43.0, 52.8/62.6, in and near Buttonwillow. The project proposes to remove 0.10’ of the existing Asphalt pavement and replace it with 0.10’ Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Gap Graded. The project will include specific locations of an additional cold planing depth of 0.40’ and replace with 0.40’ of HMA. Also, it is proposed to remove and install signs on existing posts, place shoulder backing, install rumble strips, install electrical loops and replace existing PCC panels within the lanes that show distress. Existing striping and markings will be removed as a part of the cold plane operations.
