Document Description
The purpose of this project is to replace up to 1,240 feet of broken water pipeline at Marsh Creek State Park to provide water to the park's resident. Work will: oUse heavy equipment to excavate and remove 1,200 feet of the old 2-inch water supply pipe; oWithin the same footprint, install up to 1,200 feet of new 2-inch steel pipe; oUse up to 75 couplers to join the pipe lengths; oExcavate and remove up to 40 feet of an old ¾-inch pipe spur at the water trough; oWithin the same footprint, use up to 6 couplers to install a new 2-inch steel pipe spur; oBackfill trenches with excavated materials; and oDispose of any removed defunct pipe.

Project consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond current levels, included as "Utility repairs or minor upgrades", in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR §15300.4; replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced; and minor public or private alterations in the condition of land, and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
