Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-LAN-57363-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Edison (Permittee), as represented by Warnetta Logan.
The project consists of vegetation trampling to facilitate access to Pole 970456E, the removal of Pole 970456E’s southern plate anchor, and the installation of a new anchor within three feet of the anchor slated for removal previously mentioned. Project activities will result in 0.008-acre of temporary impacts to Fremont Cottonwood Forest and Woodland, Salix gooddingii - Salix laevigata Forest and Woodland, and Upland Mustards/Star-thistle Fields Herbaceous Semi-Natural Alliances. Project site access will require traversing approximately 275 feet of Fish Creek’s bed, left bank, and channel, which includes crews accessing the project location on foot and operation of hand tools. Project activities will require crushing and trampling of herbaceous and subshrub vegetation during access and operations, as well as ground disturbance associated with the anchor removal and installation processes. The project also includes the restoration of all project areas, including the regrading of channel areas back to their pre-project contours where applicable, removal of project generated wastes, and the restoration of channel ecology and morphology upon completion of the project.
