Document Description
This project was outlined in the Big Valley Basin Sustainability Plan. It consists of a pilot project to assess the feasibility of agricultural managed aquifer recharge in the basin. The project consists of three points of diversion (PODs) that will divert water during the winter months (12/1-3/14) to intentionally infiltrate for groundwater storage, and will support agricultural, domestic, and municipal water uses in the basin. Water will be diverted from the Pit River (POD#2) and Ash Creek (POD #2 and #3).
