Document Description
CAL FIRE would provide funding to the Colfax Todds Valley Consolidated Tribe of the Colfax Rancheria and Koy’o Land Conservancy to implement the Intertribal Ecocultural Restoration Crew and Land Guardianship Program (Project) on approximately 348 acres across four non-contingent tribally owned properties in El Dorado and Placer Counties. Treatments include manual fuel reduction, prescribed burning, including cultural, broadcast, and pile burning, and eco-cultural revitalization to restore or provide habitat for California native fish and wildlife. These treatments also aim to serve California Native American Tribes and advance wildfire resilience, forest health, and cultural use of fire.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has determined the Project meets the qualifying criteria set forth in Section 21080.56, subdivisions (a) through (d), inclusive. This determination is supported by (1) CAL FIRE’s July 1, 2025, initial determination as the lead agency, that the Project meets the qualifying criteria set forth in Section 21080.56, subdivisions (a) through (d), inclusive; and (2) pursuant to Section 21080.56, subdivision (e), the CDFW Director’s August 8, 2025 concurrence with that lead agency determination, which is available at https://wildlife.ca.gov/Conservation/Cutting-Green-Tape/SERP/Concurrences
