Notice of Exemption
Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Section 15305 for minor alterations to land use limitations
Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15305 (Minor Alterations to Land Use Limitations). The project qualifies under this section because it involves only a minor expansion of the existing residential building envelope. All structures placed in the building envelope will continue to be required to abide by Local Zoning Code and be constructed in compliance with State Building Codes.
No exceptions listed under Section 15300.2 apply, and there is no reasonable possibility that the project would have a significant effect on the environment. The site is already developed and served by existing utilities and infrastructure. Therefore, the project does not present a reasonable possibility of resulting in a significant effect on the environment.
