Document Description
Caltrans proposes a pavement preservation project on Routes 15 and 56 in San Diego County. The scope of work includes micro-surfacing, cold planning to a depth of 0.1 feet, and overlaying with 0.1 feet of rubberized hot mix asphalt (RHMA-G). Additional work includes restriping, applying fog seal, shoulder backing up to 3 feet from the pavement edge as needed, and replacing rumble strips and loop detectors in kind. The project also involves upgrading roadway signs and sign posts with potential additions of new street signage. The project is located in San Diego on Route 15 from 0.6 miles south to 0.2 miles north of the Route 56/15 Separation, and from 0.3 miles west of the Route 56/15 Separation to the end of Route 56. All work will occur within Caltrans state right-of-way.
