Reasons for Exemption
The Project is to delegate and authorize the Chief Executive Officer, or her designee, to negotiate and execute the following with Weingart Greenleaf LLC (WG): i) a lease of the property located at 10317 Whittier Blvd., Whittier (the Property), with WG responsible for all operation, maintenance, and repair costs associated with the Property, including any applicable taxes and utilities; ii) a sublease of the Property to WG; and iii) any other ancillary documents necessary to implement the terms of the proposed lease and sublease. Pursuant to Government Code section 26227, the leasing and subleasing of the Property for use as permanent supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness serves the social needs of the County's population.
