Document Description
The California Department of Transportation proposes to conduct restoration activities at the Smokey Bear Flats Mixing table in Mono County. Restoration activities will include the removal of reclaimed asphalt product (RAP) which is present throughout the site. Work will include the use of heavy equipment (i.e., graders, loaders, and dump trucks) to remove material up to 3 feet deep along the inside and outside edges of the existing paved surface. Material collection will occur within 50 feet of the existing paved surface and will be hauled off site to an approved end use disposal site. Additional ground-disturbing activities will include soil sampling pits (push bore samples) at various locations throughout the project area
