Document Description
The project consists of an ongoing cannabis cultivation operation located at 131 Gravel Mix Road in unincorporated Trinity County near Hayfork, California. The designated Assessor’s Parcel Number, 014-200-57-00, is 5.61 acres in size and zoned as Rural Residential, 1 acre min (RR1). Site cultivation operations commenced in approximately 2020 and appeared to already have been in some state of cannabis cultivation since 2012 according to satellite imagery at the time. The Project would operate 8,436 square feet (sf) of existing mature outdoor cannabis canopy, 894.8 sf of immature canopy, and 2,636 sf of associated support buildings. Water for the Project would be provided by Trinity County Waterworks District No. 1 (TCWD). The municipal sewer system would serve the Project’s domestic wastewater needs.

The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
