Document Description
The Project involves the removal of non-riparian vegetation (Morning glory vines, bitter cherry shrub, Mexican palm, Yucca, Agave, bird of paradise, Japanese spindle, various succulents, Spanish broom brush, philodendron, Himalayan blackberry, and cactus) and 19 trees (fruit, privet, black walnut, and Chinese pistache) that range between 3- to 12-inch diameter at breast height on Valley Water fee title properties (APN 458-17-004 and 458-17-003) in the City of San Jose. The stump and roots of the trees would remain in place. The Project site is beyond top of bank along Guadalupe Creek Trail with non-riparian vegetation and trees. Valley Water’s standard Best Management Practices (BMPs) would be incorporated into the Project. The purpose of the Project is to remediate encroachments by removing stored items and planted vegetation from Valley Water fee title properties. Construction vehicles and equipment would include an excavator, skid steer, trash compactor, flatbed truck, crew truck, and hand tools. Construction vehicles and equipment would access the site via Branham Lane. Staging would be confined to the Project site on Valley Water fee title properties (APN 458-17-004 and 458-17-003). Work would only occur Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The Project would be completed in approximately two (2) business days
