Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-MEN-22218-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Cole Parris. The project is limited to four (4) encroachments. The first three (3) encroachments are to upgrade existing stream crossings. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the existing culverts, replacement with new properly sized culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. The fourth encroachment is for water diversion for cannabis irrigation from an onstream pond that includes improvements to the overflow spillway in accordance with the Pond Overflow plan sheet prepared by Pope Engineering. Work for the water diversion will include use, maintenance and modification of the water diversion infrastructure consistent with this Agreement. Work for the spillway improvements will include removal of the existing 18-inch diameter corrugated metal pipe (CMP) and roughly 120 cubic yards (CY) of pond embankment fill material, construction of a broad weir approximately 110 feet in length that will be armored with approximately 16 CY of rock with a median size of 6-inches to convey pond overflows to the downstream stream course, and placement of approximately 9 CY of rock with a median size of 6-inches below the rockarmored weir, along the channel and banks of the stream course for a distance of roughly 85 feet, to address the erosion below the pond.
