Document Description
Heritage Park encompasses approximately 3.4 acres of usable space and was constructed prior to Diamond Bar's incorporation in 1989. The park is in urgent need of substantial upgrades to meet current recreational and accessibility standards. The park functions as a central hub for community activities, particularly due to the high usage of the playground and restrooms, which is largely attributed to its close proximity to Castle Rock Elementary School. Unfortunately, the existing facilities—including the parking areas, playground, basketball court, walking trail, and restroom building—have exceeded their useful life and do not comply with the current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. This project aims to replace the outdated playground equipment and play surface, restroom building, and walking trail while also implementing various ADA improvements around the parking lot, playground, and restroom area. These enhancements are intended to ensure equitable access to quality outdoor spaces, support multi-generational recreation, and enhance the overall beauty of the community’s shared public environment.
