Document Description
The Golden Gate Park Parking Project aims to decrease vehicle congestion within Golden Gate Park by implementing a transportation demand management program with a parking fee for both on-street parking spaces and those within parking lots. The project would include the following: install approximately 20-40 multi-space paystations throughout the Park; install sign age; and install Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible infrastructure. Multi-space paystations would be installed at various attractions throughout the east and west sides of the Park; locations were selected based on foot-traffic rates and geographic spread. The project would utilize solar-powered multi-space paystations; visitors would also have the option to pay via smartphone.
