Fuel reduction project to reduce fuels along roadways in the community of Hart Flat. The predominant fuels that will be removed will be grass and brush with the occasional removal of dead trees that would be considered a hazard to community members. Live trees will remain and will have ladder fuel and litter removed. The brush fields are comprised of Sage, Ceanothus, Flannel Brush, and Live Oak. The tree components are Grey Pine, Pinion Pine Valley Oak, and Blue Oak. The project will reinforce the roads as fuel breaks, allowing egress of civilians and ingress of Firefighters during an emergency.
