Document Description
This proposed project involves the development of a 5 megawatt alternating current (MW AC) ground-mounted solar system on approximately 29 acres of vacant land and 0.6-mile of a new interconnection line for the purpose of power generation for onsite consumption by the OMYA mining plant, located at 7225 Crystal Creek Road in the unincorporated community of Lucerne Valley. The Project will result in incidental take of 621 western Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia). which is protected under the WJTCA and the California Endangered Species Act. The WJTCA ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of western Joshua tree that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
