To perform the work, hand tools will be used to excavate around the post of each damaged sign until the signs are removed. The removed signs will be disposed of at an appropriate offsite location. An auger will then be used to increase the size of each excavation to an approximately four feet deep and one foot in diameter area. The new signs will be placed into the excavations, and the excavations around the signs will be backfilled and compacted.
