Develop underutilized areas of the park to include a new accessible interpretive trail system, native plant garden, program and picnic areas, natural play area, sensory garden, and a family camping area. Expand the interpretive signage system and enhance overall park signage and entry kiosks. Improve emergency access, parking, lighting, and fencing. Additional renovations include the creekside program area, pedestrian bridge, aviary, wildlife enclosure exhibits, and the Discovery Museum.

• Class 3 – New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures (Section 15303):
The proposed restroom, shade structures, and play features qualify as accessory structures.
• Class 4 – Minor Alterations to Land (Section 15304):
New pathways and parking improvements will not involve the removal of healthy, mature, or scenic trees.
