Work will use heavy machinery and hand tools to complete the following:
• Remove three (3) 12-inch DBH alder trees;
• Excavate as needed to remove the existing undersized 18-inch diameter culvert and stockpile the excavated soils;
• Excavated additional soils to install a 48-inch diameter corrugated metal culvert;
• At the enlarged culvert inlet and outlet, install 1-ton rock slope protection headwalls;
• Use stockpiled soils to backfill over the new culvert, compacting in lifts;
• Use asphalt to complete repairs to the road;
• Install AC on a section of failed road near the beach parking lot;
• Export any unused stockpiled soils to a stable location away from watercourses; and
• Mulch exposed soil surface with native vegetation gathered during initial clearing activities.
