Document Description
To repair two erosion sites along the Cache Creek Slough consistent with Standard Operations and Maintenance Manual for the SAC 000 Section IV-05. Combined, the two sites are approximately 600 lineal feet located form Levee Mile 0.36 to 0.55 and Levee Mil 0.86 to 1.04. The proposed work includes riprap repair requiring approximately 2,500 tons of 3-inch minus earthen fill material and an equivalent amount of rock slope protection, consisting of 18-inch minus quarry stone riprap. Work will occur above the Mean High High Water Mark and will not require dewatering or water diversion. Vegetation will be cleared and grubbed prior to riprap placement.

Reasons for Exemption
The project is exempt from CEQA under the Class 1, Existing Facilities categorical exemption (CEQA California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15301), because the activity consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use. No expansion of existing or former use will occur. The project is exempt from CEQA under the Class 2, Replacement or Reconstruction categorical exemption (CEQA California Code of Regulations, Title 14, 15302), because the activity consists of replacement and reconstruction of an existing structure in the same site and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the replaced structure. The project is exempt from CEQA under the Class 4, Minor Alterations to Land categorical exemption (CEQA California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15304), because the activity consists of minor public or private alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees except for forestry or agricultural purposes. Further, none of the exceptions to the exemption in CEQA California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15300.2 apply.
