Document Description
Caltrans proposes to replace damaged individual Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) slabs on I-580 from post mile R30.8 to R41.1. Replacement of the damaged PCC slabs will provide better road conditions for motorists in the project vicinity. All work will be conducted on existing paved concrete. There will be no shoulder backing, guardrail replacement or upgrades, or clearing and grubbing of vegetation involved. Soil disturbance will be minimal due to placement of construction area signs (1-post stationary signs). Equipment parking and material storage will be determined during pre-construction, but will be located within Caltrans right of way in areas absent of vegetation.
