Document Description
The West Valley Feeder No. 2 pipe encasement has become exposed due to scour within Aliso Canyon Wash, near San Fernando Mission Boulevard and Chimineas Avenue. The project would cover the exposed encasement to protect the West Valley Feeder No. 2 pipe and place riprap downstream. Metropolitan would excavate 2,500 square feet of native soils from the wash for fill and place all excavated soils on top of the exposed encasement. Within the excavated area, 150 cubic yards of ¼-ton class
riprap would be placed for further protection of the West Valley Feeder No. 2 pipe. Approximately 1,200 square feet of geotextile would be placed underneath the riprap. No soil would be imported.
