Document Description
The City of Baldwin Park will develop a new 0.80-acre nature-based park at a blighted vacant lot adjacent to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center. The new park, referred to as Roadside Park, is expected to include passive and active recreation features, including a nature-based playground, shade structure, outdoor fitness equipment, picnic areas, native plants and pollinator garden, restroom facility, irrigation system, walking path with solar lighting, recycled benches and tables, and open green space. The park will also include approximately 17 new shade trees, native plants and shrubs, permeable walkways, stormwater capture bioswales, and an underground infiltration system to recharge this region’s groundwater basin.
