Document Description
Department of Water Resources (DWR) staff will remove sediment that has accumulated in the Castaic Dam Spillway stilling basin. A lattice boom crane with clamshell will be used to remove the material. No equipment or personnel will be inside the spillway during work. The staging area will be on existing roads on the left side of the spillway. Sediment removed will be placed into a dump truck and transported to an existing spoil area near toe of the dam. All work is within DWR right-of-way.
