Reasons for Exemption
The project is considered exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for the following reasons:
a. The proposed project is consistent with the General Plan Land Use Designation as well as the Zoning designation
b. The project site is located in the City of McFarland and is 2.08 acres
c. The project site is surrounded on three (3) sides by urban development and has been disturbed from its native state and therefore is not considered habitat.
d. The project will not result in an increase in traffic as the project is for a neighborhood park. Therefore, the majority of the traffic will be local. It will also not result in any significant effects related to the noise, air, or water quality.
e. The project site will be adequately served by all required utilities and public services.
