Document Description
The main purpose of the Valley Boulevard Multi-Modal Transportation Improvement Project (project) is to improve mobility, pedestrian and bicycle access, transit infrastructure and a potential enhanced bus lane (during peak period) to provide safe and accessible mobility along the corridor. This project also aims to increase transit service, connectivity, transit ridership, and improve access to employment centers, educational facilities, healthcare facilities, parks and Recreational centers. Project beneficiaries include property owners, businesses, employees, and residents along the project corridor, as well as travelers who pass through the project corridor by providing multi-modal transportation opportunities, such as sidewalks, a cycle track, and peak hour bus lanes that would improve transit services through the corridor. In October 2024, the Bureau of Engineering accepted the Valley Boulevard Multimodal Improvement Project Alternative Analysis Report and on November 13, 2024, closed the project Predesign Phase and moved the project to the Design Phase.
