Document Description
This project is the next phase in a multi-year restoration effort by SDSU-SERG, directed at improving aquatic- and terrestrial habitat values in and around Alvarado Creek in the City of San Diego. The activities here proposed include removal of non-native vegetation in the section of Alvarado Creek located on the north side of Interstate 8 in the Del Cerro neighborhood near the SDSU campus, and continued non-native vegetation control activities in all restored phases of Alvarado Creek. This effort will restore native habitat to enhance stream flow and ecological function, while measuring results through monitoring of eco-hydrologic dynamics, water quality, and biological characteristics.
