Document Description
Project consists of replacing an existing fence at the Green Oaks property at Año Nuevo State Park to allow for continued use for livestock grazing. The new fence will consist of a wildlife-friendly five-strand wire fence around the perimeter of the field. The top and bottom wires will be smooth to allow for safe movement of native wildlife, while the three (3) center wires will be barbed to effectively contain livestock. Work will:
• Install 5-inch round wooden posts set in 3-foot concrete footings on 100-foot max centers, as corner and end posts;
• Install 4-inch round wooden specialty posts set in 18-inch concrete footings at all corner and end posts to serve as angle braces;
• Install steel T-posts, driven 22-inches deep, on 10-ft centers; and
• Install a 5-strand wire fence consisting of 3 strands of barbed wire and 2 strands of smooth.
