Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), in coordination with the California Department of Technology, proposes to construct two middle-mile broadband network hub shelters to provide transmission and amplification of broadband signals. Network Hub #46 is located on State Route 152 at post mile (PM) 32.4 in Merced County. Hub #47 is located on State Route 140 at PM 37.3 in Merced County. Hub #133 is located on Sperry Ave in the City of Patterson in Stanislaus County. Hub #190 is located on State Route 99 at PM 5.448 in San Joaquin County. The purpose of building repeater hub shelters is aimed to help broadband providers connect the fiber optic network backbone to deliver enhanced broadband communications and Internet to commercial and residential users.
