Routine maintenance for the Major & Secondary Arterial Roadway involves the design and construction of infrastructure improvement such as sidewalks, curb, curb & gutters, driveways, alley entrances and bus pads and roadway resurfacing. The work generally includes constructing Portland cement concrete pavement, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, asphalt concrete pavement, crushed miscellaneous base, grading, concrete and bituminous surface removal. The work will also include adjusting or reconstructing manhole frames, reconstructing curb drains, reconstructing storm drain connector pipes, and the restoration of traffic striping and markings.

The improvements are to be performed entirely within the public right-of-way.
