Document Description
An existing sanitary sewer system serving Anthony Chabot Campground and park facilities is at risk of failure. The existing sewer line crosses San Leandro Creek at the headwaters of Lake Chabot. The project includes installation of a new sewer line that will be located away from San Leandro Creek and Lake Chabot, connect to the RCGC sanitary line and eventually connect with the Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) sewer system. All below ground portions of the existing sewer line would be abandoned in place while above ground portions would be cut and removed. The project includes the installation of a new sewer pipe (8-inch gravity-fed line and a 6-inch force main), construction of two new pump stations with communication towers, abandonment or removal of an existing pipe, and maintenance and repairs of an existing water line.
