Document Description
The Project is within an existing building in the Cannabis Zone in the City of Eureka. Operations will consist of processing cannabis only. Product will be supplied by a licensed cannabis cultivator, then trimmed by machine and hand before being returned to the cultivator. Processing operations will occur between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. The retail hours will be from 10:00am to 8:00pm Monday through Sunday. The project will have 4 employees dealing with distribution, 4 employees working retail and security, 3 administration employees, and 8 employees with Processing and Manufacturing. Modifications will be limited to minor upgrades to the interior of the building. The parcel is located within an existing 1102-square foot commercial building on a 5000-square foot parcel that is zoned Industrial.

Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply.
