Document Description
County Contra Costa County (County) proposes to conduct pavement rehabilitation within the limits of an abandoned taxiway that has been used for approximately the last 12 years as a driver’s training site for the County’s Sheriff Department. The site has lacked pavement maintenance in many years resulting in substandard conditions for the training. The project will grind the existing asphalt a few inches and repave with new asphalt. While some of the grinding will reach the existing base rock section due to thin pavement areas, there will be no new below-grade soil disturbance. Construction is anticipated to occur in 2025 and take approximately two weeks to complete.
