Document Description
The project involves the installation of a new metering service on District tidelands just south of the Austal USA leasehold located at 1313 Bay Marina Drive at the National City Marine Terminal. The new metering service is needed to upgrade Austal USA from its existing distribution power to a primary metering service. The project would require a few minor changes and additions to the existing SDG&E facilities within SDG&E’s Utilities Easement to accommodate this upgrade. Work to be completed within the Utilities Easement includes: •Excavation and trenching in two locations in the existing street (Bay Marina Drive) to create installation pathways of underground duct banks and conduits. •Installation of underground duct banks along the conduits of house electrical wiring and components •Extension of new conduit from existing infrastructure to connect with the new meter service. •Installation of new cable that will be run through the conduit using the SDG&E facilities on site. •Connection of new electrical components to existing infrastructure •Repair of the surface along trenched areas back to existing conditions.
