Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-MEN-57917-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Howard Dashiell, representing Mendocino County Department of Transportation. The Project is limited to one (1) encroachment to repair a road embankment, replace an existing culvert, and of the culvert’s inlet and outlet impacted by a storm in 2023. Work for this encroachment will include excavation, removal of the existing culvert, replacement with new properly sized culvert, replacement of the upstream and downstream concrete headwalls, installation of a soldier pile wall with subdrains, a rock dissipator at the new culvert’s outlet, and backfilling and compaction of fill. All work be conducted when the stream channel is dry. All work be conducted when the stream channel is dry and using an excavator located on the road. Measures in this agreement will avoid and minimize impacts to fish and wildlife.
