Document Description
The Project is limited to one encroachment for willow limbing and vegetation management along Salmon Creek on existing agricultural (i.e. grazing) lands. Work will include removal of willow branches growing along the west side of Salmon Creek. Limbing will occur using handheld chainsaws and non-mechanized hand tools. All vegetation management activities will occur between September 1 and February 1, and adhere to constraints listed in the revised Memorandum prepared by Northpoint Consulting Group and provided to the Agencies on April 17, 2025 (see Exhibit A: Project Description for Willow Limbing and Vegetation Management adjacent to Salmon Creek on APNs 311-191-001, 311-181-001, in Loleta, CA.) This Agreement shall expire five years from date of execution, unless it is terminated or extended before then.

Reasons for Exemption
The project proposes vegetation management activities not involving the removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, threatened, or rare species or their habitat pursuant to §15065. There are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects.
