Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-VEN-54017-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Edison (Permittee), as represented by Victoria Parsons.
The project consists of vegetation trimming and crushing to facilitate access, the replacement of Pole 925609E in kind with a new wooden pole, the transferring of lines to the newly placed pole, and the remediation of project areas. Access for the project requires the use of 300 linear feet of earthen agricultural roads, in addition to 20 linear feet of construction within the bed, banks, and channel of the Santa Clara River, both of which require trimming and crushing of riparian vegetation. Vegetation impacts include 0.07-acre of temporary impacts to arroyo willow thickets, ruderal vegetation, and Arundo donax stands, in addition to trimming one 17-foot-tall arrow willow for 20-percent of its canopy. The project also includes the remediation of all project areas, including the regrading of channel areas back to their pre-project contours, removal of project generated wastes, and the restoration of channel ecology and morphology upon completion of the project.
