Document Description
The project proposes the installation of a stream gage on Deer Creek and the repair and upgrade of stream gages on the Cosumnes River to support implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). The proposed stream gages will monitor water levels and streamflow to inform groundwater management, including improving understanding of conditions when groundwater recharge can be performed. The streamflow data will improve understanding of groundwater-surface water interaction and the availability of streamflow to inform management that helps protect beneficials user such as fish and wildlife.
