An update to the City of Rancho Santa Margarita's Local Hazard Mitigation Plan and associated update to the General Plan Safety Element to comply with Assembly Bill 2140 (AB 2140) which requires the City to reference the updated Local Hazard Mitigation Plan in the General Plan Safety Element each time the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan is updated. The Local Hazard Mitigation Plan is required to be updated every five years and the Safety Element has been updated to reference the 2025 Updated Plan.
