A private property owner, Cade Crawford, is proposing to construct a new paved driveway for access onto private property from the California Department of Transportation’s (Caltrans) right-of-way (ROW), State Route (SR) 96, at Post Mile (PM) 79.751 in Klamath River, Siskiyou County. Construction of the driveway within Caltrans’ ROW would require culvert replacement, grading, cut and fill, and the removal of five trees. Caltrans will issue an encroachment permit (0225-6RS-0223) to allow the proposed improvements to occur within the right-of-way of SR 96.
