Document Description
The proposed project would consist of widening approximately 4,700 feet of Foothill Boulevard from Hemlock Avenue to Almeria Avenue from four lanes to six lanes; Construction of Class II bike lanes, a raised landscaped median, bicycle lanes and sidewalks; widening approximately 260 feet of Beech Avenue, south of Foothill Boulevard and signalizing the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Beech Avenue; and replacement of the historic Malaga Bridge and relocation of the existing bridge within the project boundary. The replacement bridge would be raised to provide adequate clearance for trucks and buses underneath the bridge on Foothill Boulevard, which would be raised to grade level. The project would include acquisition of portions of 42 parcels on both sides of Foothill Boulevard. Most acquisitions would be slivers along the roadway right-of-way frontage 9 to 10 feet wide. The project would also involve relocation of several existing utilities located in the existing right-of-way.

One parcel (APN 1110-161-14) would require building demolition, and another (APN 232-031-28) would involve business relocation and demolition.
