Document Description
This safety project proposes to install a new high-visibility crosswalk between the post office and Murrish Market at PM 2.93 and upgrade the existing school crossings. Enhanced visibility of the marked crosswalks is proposed by installing pedestrian activated rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs). Advance flashing beacon signs would be installed at PM 2.80 for eastbound traffic. The RRFBs and advance flashing beacons would be solar powered and installed on wood posts. Trenching in the pavement may be required to connect the flashing beacon systems.
