Document Description

Reasons for Exemption
The project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under CEQA Guidelines Section 15301(c) – Existing Facilities. The proposed preventive maintenance activities are routine and are intended to extend the useful life of existing roadways without changing their current function or capacity. Exceptions Analysis (CEQA Guidelines §15300.2):
None of the exceptions to the use of a categorical exemption apply to this project. The project:
• Is not located on a site listed as hazardous under Section 65962.5 of the Government Code;
• Will not result in cumulative impacts when viewed in connection with past, current, or future projects;
• Is not located in a scenic area; and
• Does not have unusual circumstances that would result in a significant environmental effect.
