Document Description
Total treatment area is approximately 4.4 acres. **Treatment Unit 1 (Oak Woodland Stand - 2.5 acres):** Objective: Enhance stand health and resiliency by reducing small tree competition and ladder fuels. Remove 100% of shrubs and Douglas-fir under the canopy of, or within 15 feet of the dripline of, a deciduous oak. Slash will be piled and burned. **Treatment Unit 2 (Conifer Forest Stand - 0.4 acres):** Objective: Improve stand health by reducing small tree competition and and ladder fuels. Remove 90% of Douglas-fir <4” DBH, 80% of Douglas-fir 4-8” DBH, and prune all trees to 6 feet. No deciduous oaks should be removed or pruned. Target post-treatment density is 100-125 trees per acre.
