Document Description
At the Morro Bay State Park campground, the project will replace a leaking water valve assembly and pipes. Under an emergency contract with a plumber, work will: - Remove the existing, leaking water valve assembly and piping connections; - Excavate and enlarge the existing 6-foot by 6-foot vault to a size of 6-foot by 9-foot and depth of five (5) feet to accommodate the new valve assembly; - Install a drain rock base; - Rebuild and reconnect the pressure-reducing valve, ductile iron spacer, and three gate valves.

Project consists of the operation or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond current levels and is included as “Utility repairs or minor upgrades” in the Department of Parks and Recreation’s list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR §15300.4; replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced; and the minor public or private alterations in the condition of land and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
