Caltrans proposes a Culvert Replacement Project to replace three (3) failed drainage systems on the I-5, I-8, and SR 67 in San Diego County. Project work consists of replacing in kind to our current standard 3 failed drainage systems by excavating to remove the culverts and replace in kind to the current design standard plans.

Project consists of emergency repairs to publicly or privately owned service facilities necessary to maintain service essential to the public health, safety or welfare. Emergency repairs include those that require a reasonable amount of planning to address an anticipated emergency. Specifically, Caltrans is repairing drainage systems in critical condition. Without immediate repair, publicly used roads risk being collapsed.
