Document Description
This project is located at El Dorado Beach (APN 026-050-006) in South
Lake Tahoe. Due to severe erosion caused by the June 21 storm, super sack sandbags previously placed for shoreline protection have been exposed. The City proposes to place 40-60 cubic yards of clean sand to cover the exposed area as an emergency stabilization measure. Sand will be staged at Lakeview Commons and transported to the site using a Bobcat Toolcat. Work will be completed using hand tools, with no equipment entering the lake. Temporary BMPs, including straw wattles, will be installed. A long-term solution will be pursued in a future phase.
