Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has issued an ITP (No. 1927-ITP-2025-056-06), pursuant to 1927.3 of the Fish and Game Code to Victor Valley Transit Authority. The Project consists of the construction of a transfer hub. The transfer hub will include: 10 bus bays with canopies; a 1,777-square foot (sf) building that includes a ticket office, a security office, and restrooms; a parking lot with 15 parking spaces for guests; a parking lot with 82 parking spaces for employees; passenger benches; 48,323-sf of driveway; and 30,832-sf of landscaping. The Project will result in incidental take of 31 western Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia) which is protected under the WJTCA and the California Endangered Species Act. The WJTCA ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of western Joshua tree that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
