Document Description
The California Department of Parks and Recreation (State Parks) is a Responsible Agency for this project under CEQA. This project is set to receive financial assistance from the National Park Service’s Land and Water Conservation Fund Program, and State Parks administers the LWCF funds to approved projects. The Project will expand Van Buskirk Park in the City of Stockton by 30 acres to a total size of 192.71 acres. The Project will construct a community garden, nature-based waterplay splash pad, nature-based shade structure, walking pathways with nature-based furnishings, multipurpose lawn, skate park, BMX track, bike trails, 2 new basketball courts and bathroom, with landscaping, lighting, and fencing throughout. The Project will also renovate existing basketball courts.
