The City of Stockton proposes to develop a community park on a 192.71-acre former golf course. The expanded Van Buskirk Park would include additional outdoor basketball courts, a new bike and skate park with associated amenities, a community garden, a multi-purpose lawn area, a splash pad/water play area, an 18-hole disc golf course, a golf academy, indoor facilities, an event lawn with outdoor pavilion, a playground, pickleball courts, and a dog park, as well as walking paths, restoration areas, and parking.
